SEN Post-16 Teacher Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Secondary / Post-16 Teacher to join a specialist provision supporting young people with additional needs preparing for adulthood, further education, and independent living. The provision caters for students aged 11-19 with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and SEMH needs. The school is committed to providing a structured, supportive, and engaging environment that equips students with both academic knowledge and essential life skills. The Role As an SEN Secondary / Post-16 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students working at a range of academic levels. You will support learners in developing key academic, vocational, social, and life skills to prepare them for future success. Key Responsibilities Planning and delivering engaging lessons for SEN learners aged 11-19 Supporting students with EHCPs and individual learning targets Developing students' communication, independence, and life skills Preparing learners for further education, employment, and adulthood Working closely with support staff, therapists, and parents Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate pupil records Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Contract Details Location: [Location] Position: SEN Secondary / Post-16 Teacher Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temporary, Temp-to-Perm, or Permanent Duration: Ongoing Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm Full-Time: Yes Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications Experience & Qualifications QTS, QTLS, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching within SEN, Secondary, or Further Education settings Understanding of Autism, Learning Difficulties, and SEMH needs Strong classroom management and communication skills Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
