Digital Communications Manager

A bit about the role…
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the Digital Communications Manager will ensure our approach to digital comms is set up to maximise our impact in delivering a multi-platform, audience-first approach to great storytelling. Your ability to increase our digital reach and drive great visual storytelling across our digital channels will play a key role in creating excitement and trust in Allwyn UK, The National Lottery and our ability to change lives every day. You will own and drive our presence on Allwyn UK digital channels, while also aligning with the Marketing leads and owners of The National Lottery social channels to maximise opportunities for integrated storytelling. The role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creativity and a deep understanding of digital trends and best practices.
As the Digital Specialist, you will:
- Develop and execute a digital communications strategy that aligns with the Allwyn UK’s brand, objectives, and target audiences
- Own and drive our digital presence on Allwyn UK owned channels such as Allwyn UK on LinkedIn, our website, Facebook, Twitter and other social pages
- Work in partnership with your Corporate communications, Consumer communications and Campaigns colleagues to create engaging content tailored for different digital channels, ensuring it is optimised for search engines and user engagement
- Align with the Marketing leads and owners of The National Lottery social channels for integrated storytelling
- Monitor, manage and analyse data to identify digital communication trends and create compelling insights that inform digital communications decisions
- Stay on top of new digital trends and technologies, and generate ideas to enhance our digital communications approach at Allwyn, in partnership with the Marketing leads and owners of The National Lottery social channels
- Ensure the wider Communications team regularly consider the digital approach to sharing Allwyn and The National Lottery news, whilst putting social-first at the start of their planning
- Be quick to respond – share our appetite for getting ahead of news and great visual storytelling ability by spotting and sharing online opportunities with speed and agility
- Help enhance the digital capabilities of the entire Communications team, by sharing great practice, designing learning sessions and helping to build expertise
- Work across the Communications team, and with relevant stakeholders, to make sure every update put out on digital channels from the Communications team has been vetted and is publishable
- Ensure all digital communications adhere to regulatory and company standards for privacy and data protection
Requirements
- Significant digital communications experience, ideally in the gaming and entertainment sector
- A passion for, and genuine interest in how digital news travels across various paid, earned, shared and owned channels
- A collaborator with first-class communication skills, both written and verbal, able to proactively work with other stakeholders
- The ability to work under pressure
- Be a brilliant writer and an even better digital editor

- Strong understanding of modern media consumption
- Experience with real rime analytics and measurement
