Behaviour Mentor

Blue Skies Education are working with a school based in North London to successfully recruit a behaviour mentor to work at this primary school age provision. The children at the provision have documented special education needs and/or disabilities. This can range from neuro-diverse conditions, such as autism or ADHD, to challenging behaviour profiles and early signs of social and emotional mental health. The age range is from 5-11 years of age and the successful behaviour mentor will be working 1:1 or within small groups throughout the school day.

What we are looking for:

• Graduates of psychology, criminology or an education based degree
• Previous experience working with young people is ideal but not imperative for the right candidate
• Calm and composed personalities who can remain as such in situations where children demonstrate challenging behaviour
• Inspirational mentors to children, helping them to enjoy their daily school experience
• Sound knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (we can help you here!)
• Natural instinct to keep children safe
• Reliable and conscientious - this job offers amazing experience but comes swith huge responsibility!

Vacancy Details:

1. Hours: 32.5hrs per week, day shifts over Mon to Fri (term time only)
2. Start Date: ASAP
3. End Date: Indefinite, could become permanent
4. Location: Enfield
5. Pay: £14-£15 per hour (PAYE)
