Salary: £159 to £221 per day (long-term, depending on experience and location)

About the role

We're recruiting an experienced PE teacher for a long-term placement at a secondary school in Maidenhead. You'll deliver high-quality PE teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, leading engaging lessons that build pupils' physical literacy, confidence, and genuine passion for sport and movement.

As a PE teacher , you'll teach across the secondary PE curriculum with expertise and enthusiasm. You'll develop pupils' physical skills, tactical understanding, and love of sport and activity. You'll likely lead extra-curricular sports clubs, fixtures and competitions, and contribute to the school's vibrant sports programme.

Your role includes:

• Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 with breadth and depth
• Delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that build physical confidence
• Supporting pupils' progression in a range of sports and activities
• Leading extra-curricular sports clubs, teams and fixtures
• Coaching competitive sports where you hold expertise
• Behaviour management and safeguarding practice
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and PE colleagues
• Contributing to the school's wider sports provision and ethos

About you

You're a qualified PE teacher with real experience teaching secondary pupils. You might be an established PE specialist with years of secondary experience, an early career teacher with strong PE practice, someone returning to teaching, or a teacher seeking to deepen your PE expertise in a supportive school. You bring:

• QTS qualification (or equivalent teaching qualification)
• Strong, demonstrated knowledge of secondary PE curriculum
• Proven experience teaching secondary PE learners
• Enthusiasm for sport, physical activity, and pupil development
• Coaching experience or specialism in at least one sport
• Proven classroom management and safeguarding practice
• Commitment to pupil progress and engagement
• Reliability and professionalism
