We're looking for a proactive and passionate Account Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to flex their planning skills across international activity. You’ll be leading centrally briefed campaigns, guiding local markets, and building strong relationships with clients and internal teams alike.
You’ll have one direct report and the support of a vibrant, experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise in international media planning, gain exposure to a wide variety of markets, and help bring some of the world’s most loved brands to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Leadership
Take ownership of centrally briefed campaigns from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the Account Director and Strategy teams to ensure plans align with the overarching global strategy. - Client Relationships
Build trust with our day-to-day clients by demonstrating insight, energy, and dedication. You’ll be a reliable point of contact, able to manage expectations and know when to escalate or challenge constructively. - Market Guidance
Support local markets to ensure their media plans reflect the central strategy and deliver the strongest possible results. You’ll help improve local plans through confident, constructive feedback. - Media Planning
Contribute to the development of planning principles for the three key global campaigns briefed each year. Bring a combination of creativity and commercial awareness to every planning challenge. - Insights and Strategy
Deepen your understanding of the client’s business, their audiences, and market context. Use research tools such as TGI, IMS, Nielsen, and Mediabrands ’ proprietary platforms to uncover insights and deliver smart, data- informed recommendations. - Finance and Reporting
Support the finance team with a solid understanding of UM’s financial processes. Make sure your campaign reporting is timely, accurate, and genuinely useful to the client. - Client Relationships
Support director and partner with the delivery of the international roadmap for GMI. - Roll Up Insights
Be knowledgeable of what is going on in each of the markets through regular contact. Roll up insights with the support of the team.
Desired Skills & Experience
- You can effectively communicate with various stakeholders – clients, agency partners and your own team members
- You have helped manage junior team members before, and you take satisfaction from helping them grow in their careers
- Juggling a number of tasks with often conflicting deadlines is second nature
- You can build relationships with colleagues and contacts – daily contact with key clients is not new to you, nor is working closely and collaboratively with creative agency colleagues
- You have experience planning local market campaigns, or at least know what is required to plan and buy them
- An inquisitive mind-set that wants to understand the why behind every client brief
- Good with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
