An inclusive and child-centred primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within its Early Years provision.

The Role
You will support children in Nursery or Reception who require additional help to engage with learning and school routines. Many of the children supported in this role have EHCPs or emerging SEN needs.
Your role will focus on:
Supporting communication and language development
Encouraging positive social interaction and play
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
Developing independence and self-care skills
Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, depending on pupil needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored SEN support in line with individual learning plans
Support access to the EYFS curriculum
Implement strategies recommended by the SENCo and external professionals
Use visual timetables, now-and-next boards, and sensory resources
Support transitions throughout the school day
Assist with personal care and toileting where required
Observe and record pupil progress
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Person Specification
We are seeking someone who:
Has experience working with children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
Is calm, patient, and emotionally responsive
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to inclusion and safeguarding
Is keen to develop professionally
