The Chancery Rosewood, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. Including 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, and a variety of dining and entertainment spaces: providing a stage for progressive ideas, voices and expression.
We are now seeking a polished and guest-focused Maître d' to join our opening team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will embody the warmth, elegance, and personalised approach that defines Rosewood, ensuring every arrival feels exceptional and every departure, memorable.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the hosting team in delivering a seamless guest arrival and seating experience.
Manage reservations and guest profiles to maximise occupancy while maintaining flow and atmosphere.
Welcome guests with genuine warmth, ensuring personalised service at every touchpoint.
Build strong guest relationships, anticipating needs and creating memorable moments that encourage return visits.
Support the management team in training, mentoring, and developing junior hosts.
Work collaboratively with operations, culinary, and service colleagues to deliver the highest standards.
About You
Experience in a host or guest-facing supervisory role within a luxury hospitality or high-profile restaurant setting.
Naturally warm, confident, and engaging with exceptional communication skills.
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume reservations and guest flow.
Passionate about creating genuine connections and curating personalised experiences.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
