Yapily is on a mission to enable innovative companies to build better and fairer financial services for everyone through the power of open banking. We’re looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer to join our Customer Engineering Team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, hands-on coding experience, and exceptional communication skills, especially when guiding enterprise customers through complex technical integrations.

As a Senior Implementation Engineer, you will lead enterprise customers through complex integrations with Yapily’s API, combining strategic guidance with deep technical execution. You will identify and resolve integration challenges, and work with a broader Yapily team on tailored solutions that align with the requirements of sophisticated, enterprise-scale organisations. Acting as a senior technical authority, you’ll support sales cycles with expert insight, lead advanced workshops, deliver tailored demos, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the full implementation lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to drive successful delivery, resolve technical challenges, and ensure ongoing customer success - ultimately becoming a subject matter expert in the Yapily API and its enterprise capabilities.

Requirements

Experience In:

  • Payments Industry or Open Banking - desired
  • Experience with API integration and implementation of SaaS solutions
  • Proven track record in leading Implementations with large Enterprise customers
  • Proven experience writing and maintaining code, with hands-on programming skills relevant to API integration
  • Understanding Clients’ use cases and advise most suitable integration practices
  • Managing the full implementation cycle end-to-end, to the point they launch
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving technical issues quickly
  • Helping our clients speed adoption and ensure best practices during implementation
  • Collaborating in various additional projects such as maintaining our API documentation
  • Comfortable in delivering technical presentations & product demonstrations to prospective clients and senior stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Confidence in speaking publicly and leading workshops with enterprise client teams
  • Excellent time management and independent prioritisation skills in the best interest of our clients
  • Provide technical recommendations on how to orchestrate, test, optimise and understand prospective customers’ software builds
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and managing multiple enterprise accounts effectively
  • Able to write, review, and debug code as part of end-to-end API integration
  • Ability to stay up to date with open banking regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies
  • Communicate important customer product feedback to Product Marketing, Product Management and Customer Success and Engineering teams
  • A strong technical background through education or professional experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs

We would love you to have:

  • Hands-on experience coding in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with back-end development practices, API-driven architectures, and enterprise integration pattern
  • Experience delivering compelling demos, solution walkthroughs, and technical workshops - especially to enterprise clients
  • Prior experience in fintech, payments, or the Open Banking ecosystem
  • The ability to speak one or more additional European languages is desirable
