A valued client is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join their team at Greenholm School in Sutton. Applications are welcome from both newly qualified practitioners and experienced clinicians looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist educational setting
Key responsibilities
Greenholm School is an independent, specialist day school located in South West London. Since joining the Witherslack Group in 2022, the school has continued to provide high-quality education for pupils with autism and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and associated behavioural difficulties. The school was recently rated Good by Ofsted.
The school is part of a broader network of specialist schools and children’s homes where clinicians are central to one of the most integrated models in SEND. The young people supported by the client often present with a complexity of need, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs.
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, the Occupational Therapist will support both educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, they will deliver individualised interventions and engage directly with young people to support their development.
Occupational Therapists in this setting work collaboratively across the school and children’s homes, ensuring that therapeutic support is embedded in every aspect of education and care. The role also includes providing consultation, leading workshops, and delivering training and guidance to staff teams working with the children.
