Join Scissero – The Law Firm of the Future

About Us

Scissero is an AI-enhanced legal services company built for financial institutions. We combine expert legal support with intelligent automation, transforming how transactional law is delivered.

We’re not a traditional law firm. We are a diverse and globally distributed team of lawyers, engineers, and innovators working across the U.S, EMEA, and APAC. We believe technology augments, not replaces, legal expertise. Our culture values collaboration, inclusivity, and flexibility.

We are seeking a Senior M&A Counsel to directly manage and standardise the performance of our ancillary legal teams across our International delivery centers. This hybrid role, based in our London/New York  office, is critical to ensuring operational excellence at scale.

You will directly manage and standardise operations, ensuring high-volume legal and transactional support meets the rigorous standards demanded by our financial institutional clients, all while integrating closely with our AI tools for maximum efficiency and consistency.

Responsibilities

Transaction Oversight & Risk Management

  • Act as the senior legal liaison for all M&A engagements involving demanding PE clients.
  • Provide expert, commercially grounded advice on deal mechanics, corporate governance, and transaction risk.

Global Performance & Quality Control

  • Implement and enforce rigorous Quality Control (QC) frameworks and global process standards for all ancillary tasks, including regulatory document review and corporate administration.
  • Own operational KPIs related to team output, accuracy, and utilisation.
  • Oversee the smooth functioning of service delivery across different international centres and time zones, ensuring consistent quality and seamless coverage for global clients.

Development & Operational Excellence

  • Drive process standardisation and execution quality for all paralegal and supporting staff.
  • Take direct responsibility for the professional development, training, and career progression of the junior legal team.
  • Integrate closely with AI tools to maximise efficiency and consistency in delivering high-volume legal and transactional support.
  • Implement standardised workflows and quality assurance measures for high-volume document review and execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 Years PQE demonstrates proficiency in both general corporate law and complex M&A transactions (acquired in a private practice firm or in-house environment)
  • Proven ability to successfully handle the legal demands and relationships associated with sophisticated Private Equity (PE) clients.
  • Direct experience overseeing and guiding junior legal staff in the review, negotiation, and standardisation of foundational corporate M&A agreements, such as NDAs, engagement letters, and reliance letters.

Why Join Us?

  • Gain valuable experience at the forefront of AI-enhanced legal services.
  • Work with a diverse and innovative global client base, including leading financial institutions.
  • Opportunity for professional growth and development in a tech-enabled environment.
  • Join a dynamic, enthusiastic, and diverse team committed to collaboration and excellence.
  • Learn from experienced professionals across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions.

Global Benefits

  • Hybrid and remote working options, with the ability to request to work from other countries (upon request)
  • Paid Sick Leave: 7 days per year to recover or care for family.
  • Confidential Support: Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Professional Development: 7 days per year of paid study leave annually for exams and structured learning.
  • Annual Bonus: Discretionary and performance-based.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays.

At Scissero, you’ll be part of a scale-up blending law and technology to create meaningful impact. If you’re excited about redefining the future of legal services with AI, apply now to join our team.

Inclusivity

At Scissero, we value diversity in all its forms and believe that varied perspectives make us stronger. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
