Role Overview
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for ensuring the gold standard delivery of client campaigns, audience strategy, and all supporting collateral across the agency patch. This role involves leading educational sessions, developing Account Managers (AMs), and maintaining an exemplary knowledge of products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape and will be adept at strategic decision-making with senior agency planners and independent clients. They will lead by example and ensure every client interaction with us is a positive one, resulting in continued growth for all.
Responsibilies- Campaign Management: Oversee the delivery of campaigns and brief responses, ensuring high standards across the agency patch.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop AMs, fostering their growth, enhancing their capabilities and ensuring we are collectively working towards delivering our objectives.
- Educational Leadership: Lead agency surgeries and education sessions to share knowledge and best practices.
- Product Expertise: Maintain an exemplary understanding of products and solutions, and apply this knowledge to address key client business challenges, with a view to continuous innovation and improvement.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges and providing strategic solutions, resulting in trusted, long term relationships and business growth.
- Channeling the Adoption of WPP Open across Discovery (Strategic/Audience Insights), Planning, Activation, and Measurement (Performance)
Requirements /
- Digital Planning and / or Activation experience e.g. ATV, Audio, Video, Display and / or Advanced DOOH
- Independent Work: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to pre agreed personal, team and business objectives.
- Experience: Significant demonstrable experience in agency or account management roles.
- Communication Skills: Articulate and strong communicator, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients. Not afraid of challenging conversations, but can mitigate problems before they arise by thinking ahead and communicating at all levels.
- Interpersonal Skills: Personable and assertive, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external parties.
- Professional Conduct: Approachable and nurturing but works to high standards across all tasks – leads by example always.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous with media booking, finance, and delivery processes. Can effectively check own and others work and spot issues before they arise.
- Resilience and Energy: Energetic, positive and resilient, with a strong sense of initiative and personal ownership.

- Team Management: Experience in positively managing or mentoring team members to drive results.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Proficient at managing sales pipelines and assigning probabilities for revenue forecasting.
- Industry Insight: Experience across multiple industry categories and an understanding of what drives marketing success.
- Data Application Awareness: Awareness of how data can be used to access brand audiences with a view to solving client business challenges.
- Strategic Thinker: Capable of strategic decision-making and problem-solving.
- Proactive Learner: Keen to stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
- Collaborative Leader: Able to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
