I'm working on behalf of a highly respected Lloyd’s Broker with a strong international presence, currently seeking a Catastrophe Modeller to join their experienced analytics team. This role will support the reinsurance of Nordic-based clients, delivering risk insights and portfolio analysis that directly inform placement strategy and client advisory work.
You'll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking business that places a high value on analytics and modelling as core to its reinsurance offering. The team is looking for an individual who is an advanced user of vendor catastrophe models, with a strong understanding of model output and its application in a commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Run and interpret catastrophe models to assess reinsurance exposures and develop tailored client risk profiles.
Support brokers and underwriters with insights that inform treaty and facultative placements.
Assist with client presentations, portfolio roll-ups, data cleansing, and model validation.
Focus on the modelling and analysis of Nordic-based reinsurance clients.
Translate complex technical outputs into actionable insights for brokers and clients.
Ideal Candidate:
2+ years of catastrophe modelling experience within a (re)insurance broker, insurer, or modelling firm.
An advanced user of RMS and AIR softwaresand products, with a strong understanding of their functionality and limitations.
Comfortable working with large datasets and delivering technical analysis under time pressure.
Familiarity with reinsurance structures and exposure data standards.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
