Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher

(Physics & Chemistry Focus) – Wembley

Full-time | Long-term | Immediate or September start
Salary: £28,000+

Ready to take your Physics or Chemistry degree out of the lab and into something far more impactful?

Keen to test yourself in a fast-paced, high-achieving school where intellectual rigour and discipline go hand in hand?

Looking for a role that doesn’t ease you in slowly—but instead accelerates you towards becoming an exceptional teacher?

This is not your typical graduate role.

A high-performing secondary school in North West London is seeking a driven Science graduate with a specialism in Physics and/or Chemistry to step into a full teaching position. You will be entrusted with real responsibility from day one, supported by expert educators, and developed into a future qualified teacher.

About the School

This school has earned its reputation through results, structure, and ambition. With GCSE outcomes consistently exceeding national averages, and a culture built on focus, respect, and academic excellence, it offers a truly professional environment for aspiring teachers.

Science is a flagship area within the school. The department is well-resourced, highly collaborative, and academically rigorous, with a strong track record of students progressing into STEM degrees at leading universities.

What sets this school apart is its clarity of purpose—staff are here to teach well, improve constantly, and achieve exceptional outcomes. Graduates who join are expected to rise quickly—and are supported to do exactly that.

The Role

As a Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Physics and/or Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning lessons that balance clarity, challenge, and engagement
  • Using assessment effectively to drive student progress and attainment
  • Creating a focused, disciplined classroom environment
  • Working closely with experienced teachers to refine your practice
  • Preparing for progression into a formal teacher training programme

You won’t be observing from the sidelines—you’ll be leading learning, making decisions, and building your teaching identity from the outset.

Who This Role Suits

  • A high-calibre graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Someone who enjoys explaining complex ideas with clarity and precision
  • A confident communicator who can command attention and build respect
  • An individual with the resilience and ambition to thrive in a high-expectation environment
  • A future teacher in the making

What You’ll Gain

  • Immediate experience as a fully responsible classroom teacher
  • A structured and supported route into teacher training
  • Daily exposure to high-quality teaching and strong academic culture
  • A competitive starting salary of £28,000+
  • The opportunity to work in a school that will challenge you, sharpen you, and accelerate your career

This role is designed for graduates who want to move fast, think deeply, and make a tangible difference.

If you’re ready to step up, send your CV and cover letter to Ryan Holtby at KPI Education today and begin your journey towards becoming an outstanding Science teacher.
