Overview

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our exciting team. Our agile development team builds internal and client-facing applications, including research, data, analytics, and interactive investment tools. These solutions are delivered through web interfaces and function libraries, making a big impact on the business. We value continuous improvement and learning, offering dedicated learning and development (L&D) days each sprint and access to a learning platform. Our focus is on efficiency, collaboration, and delivering results.

How you'll make an impact

  • As a Senior Developer, you will lead an Agile Scrum team of developers while actively contributing to development tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Actively participating in delivering development stories during sprints and driving technical approaches.
  • Facilitating agile practices and ceremonies, such as daily standups, sprint planning, and refinement sessions.
  • Tracking team performance using Agile metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Acting as a bridge between the development team and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
  • Guiding and supporting team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Encouraging innovation by experimenting with new tools, techniques, and processes to improve efficiency.
About You

  • Experience leading a development team using Agile Scrum practices.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, TypeScript/JavaScript, and associated web technologies.
  • Knowledge of React (preferred) or Angular.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Strong experience with relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
  • Practical experience with microservice architecture.
  • Professional attitude, including being a self-starter, working independently or in a team, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bonus skills: Event Sourcing, CQRS, serverless development (AWS Lambda), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and platform tools like Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Kubernetes, or Docker.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
