Assistant Project Manager
Location: London Salary: £75,000 TO £85,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join one of the UK’s leading construction contractors. Based in London, this role will support the delivery of high-profile build projects and offer genuine scope for career progression. The Role As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and site teams to help plan, manage, and execute construction activities. You'll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities * Assist in the coordination and management of construction projects from start to finish * Support the development of project programmes, resource schedules, and work packages * Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to health & safety and quality standards * Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to maintain smooth project delivery * Prepare reports, meeting minutes, risk registers, and other project documentation * Help identify potential issues early and support the development of effective solutions * Attend site meetings and contribute to daily planning and project tracking Requirements * Proven experience in construction or civil engineering project delivery * Good understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry regulations * Excellent organisational and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure * Valid CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS certification * A degree or diploma in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
