Year 3 Teacher - Wandsworth
A well-resourced primary school in Wandsworth is recruiting a skilled Year 3 Teacher to begin January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will teach a mixed-ability class, develop engaging lessons that promote reasoning and problem-solving, and support pupils’ personal development. The successful Year 3 Teacher will be part of a collaborative phase team, take part in curriculum development and support transition work across the school. Preparation and induction sessions will be provided ahead of January 2026 so the Year 3 Teacher is ready for term one.

• Year 3 Teacher to deliver a knowledge-rich KS2 curriculum and lead targeted support
In Wandsworth, the Year 3 Teacher will benefit from team planning time, access to subject leads and opportunities to lead enrichment projects. The Year 3 Teacher will use assessment to set clear targets and to evidence the impact of interventions.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver sequenced Year 3 lessons that build depth of understanding and fluency.
- Use assessment data to design timely interventions and track progress across the cohort.
- Collaborate with TAs to maximise learning and support pupils with additional needs.
- Engage parents with progress updates and attend review meetings when required.
- Support whole-school programmes and extracurricular activities in Wandsworth.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with recent KS2 classroom experience and confident Year 3 practice.
- Strong subject knowledge, excellent organisation and a positive approach to teamwork.
- Committed to professional development and to working within the Wandsworth community.
- Available to start January 2026 and to be based in Wandsworth.
