Compliance Officer
Join Swiss Re's Compliance team and drive excellence in our global Policy Governance Framework! This influential role combines governance expertise with strategic leadership to shape how we manage policies across our organization.
About the Role
As our Compliance Officer for Policy Governance, you'll design, oversee, and continuously improve the framework that underpins Swiss Re's risk and compliance culture, serving as the strategic interface between document owners and governance bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Ownership - Evolve our end-to-end Policy Governance Framework ensuring consistency and usability across the organization 
- Governance Model Development - Maintain taxonomy, templates, and quality assurance standards while implementing continuous improvements 
- Quality Assurance - Ensure all new or updated policies meet framework requirements and monitor adherence to lifecycle stages 
- Stakeholder Engagement - Advise policy owners on best practices and lead Policy Management Committee governance processes 
- Community Leadership - Build and lead a community of Standard Owners to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing 
- Compliance Framework Support - Contribute to developing compliance policies, monitoring regulatory developments, and building our overall compliance capability 
About the Team
The Compliance Programme, Policies & Awareness team manages Swiss Re's global Compliance frameworks. We develop and implement policies and training programs that help employees manage Compliance Risks while monitoring new regulations across our operating jurisdictions. We also oversee the Policy Governance framework implementation throughout Swiss Re.
About You
You're a governance professional who thrives on creating order from complexity. With excellent communication skills and strategic thinking, you can influence stakeholders at all levels while maintaining rigorous standards for policy development and implementation.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- University or equivalent qualification with solid compliance, risk management or control framework experience 
- Experience with policy governance frameworks, particularly in drafting policies and standards and maintaining governance structures 
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to interact across all seniority levels 
- Excellent organizational, process management and analytical abilities 
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) 
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience in international financial services environments 
- Additional language capabilities 
- Knowledge of specific compliance risks (Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, International Trade Controls & Economic Sanctions, Insurance Conduct Risk) 
- Project management certification or experience

 The base salary range for this position is between £72,000 and £108,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 
•  the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•  the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. 
Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
