Your role:
The Construction Lead UK&Ireland will be the responsible of the team of Construction Project Managers. While every department scope will be limited to its specific function, it is duty of the Construction Lead is to collect the flow of information and converge it into to the project phases since the design to the realization and commissioning.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Lead the Project Managers (n.2 internal head counts + various external local consultants) operating in UK & Ireland Region for the brands of EssilorLuxottica with specific reference to the following banners: David Clulow, Sunglass-Hut, Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vision Express, John Lewis Opticians. Total Retail Network for UK&Ireland: 700+ of Direct Retail Stores.
- Oversee planning, detail design and construction engineering for Luxottica Brands Retail Stores in UK&Ireland Region.
- Undertake construction engineering design on new and remodel projects with support of local consultants.
- Select local consultants and permit expeditors suitable for the project, sourced from corporate vendor list of Luxottica procurement department1
- Manage relations with Local Authorities / Malls / Airports / Outlets centers /Department stores involved in the project.
- Prepare reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define the design requirements, equipment and services required
- Provide technical direction within engineering design, building design, layouts, build details, schedules and materials.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables, create schedule and project timelines, define tasks and required resources.
- Manage budget, allocate project resources and collaborate with designers, R&D managers, consultants and local country stakeholders.
- Lead quality assurance
- Monitor and report on project process, track deliverables.
- Share with stakeholders reports in progress as well as problems and solutions.
- Implement and manage process changes when necessary to meet updated outputs.
- Evaluate and assess result of project.
Main requirements:
- Delivering of Retail Stores: Deliver the Retail Store to the related market with the three main scopes: on time, on budget, on quality.
- Construction Budget: Budget cost evaluation and control and timing for the construction
- Quality of the Execution: quality of execution of the store and Snag completion after opening
- Effectiveness of the Communication: communicate and transfer the main construction constraints and achievements to related market and stakeholders.
- Network of interaction: INTERNAL : Departments of : Construction, Property-Real Estate, Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Finance, Administration. EXTERNAL : General Contractors, Local Consultants, Permit Expeditors, Material Suppliers (IT, Digital, TVCC, Sound, etc), Landlords representatives.
