The Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) programme has been mobilised to uplift the 1LOD control environment around Regulatory Reporting. This role sits within the 2LOD Regulatory Reporting Risk Stewardship function related to Retail Credit Risk. Within this team we take direct responsibility for the execution of the applicable Risk Management Framework (‘RMF’) Responsibilities and Risk Stewardship of these uplifts and oversight of the BAU Regulatory Reporting environment (including change initiatives). We execute these responsibilities on behalf of the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, IWPB, who is the accountable executive. In this role you will:

• Lead the implementation of the designed operating procedures which underpin the execution of the RMF Responsibilities related to Regulatory Reporting Risk Stewardship.

• Critically review and challenge the 1LOD control environment, deliverables, remediation plans and emerging risks/issues. Hold 1LOD to account for these artefacts, this may involve difficult conversations which the role holder would need to lead until resolution.

• Resolve any existing issues to ensure optimal execution of Regulatory Reporting Stewardship responsibilities. Identify areas for potential improvement and lead the solution to uplift.

• Identify areas where further MI is required to accurately assess the risk within Regulatory Reporting.

• Understand the Regulatory Reporting regulations currently in place and maintain an awareness of developments (e.g. Basel 3.1). The Role holder will be responsible for oversight of the 1LOD plans to embed new reporting requirements into BAU.

• Act as a deputy for the Director, including in formal Governance meetings.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Extensive experience in the preparation and review of PRA (e.g COREP, Pillar 2) and/or BOE (e.g. STDF) Regulatory Reporting is essential to be considered.

• Strong Analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information confidently, concisely and using simple language is essential to be considered.

• Experience of working within a Risk Management (including Risk Stewardship) or Controls environment is desirable.

• Ability to manage and challenge senior Stakeholders (e.g. Financial Controllers, Chief Risk and Compliance Officers) is essential.

• Experience of operating or oversight of 1LOD controls, and demonstratable experience of uplifting controls.

• Experience of working within a globally distributed onshore/offshore model. Working across cultures is essential.
