Sales Manager - Groups and Events
About The Ned:
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.
As part of the Sales team, you will:
- Be responsible for attracting new business, maintaining customer relationships, and delivering to budget for our Groups and Events department
- Make regular sales calls to UK accounts, managing both direct and agency relationships
- Attend UK or European tradeshows where relevant
- Regularly host site inspections, and entertain clients so they can see what we have to offer
- Resolicit business and assess trends for new business.
- Assess your accounts to maximise revenue potential
- Negotiate contract rates with clients and follow up on all proposals and request for proposals
- Compile and analyse month end reports, implementing action plans to improve our market share penetration
What you can bring to the role:
- Rapport building skills are essential for working in our sales team; every guest is a loyal client or potential new client, so every interaction is crucial
- You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our clients to give them an exceptional service
- Excellent organisational skills to manage this high-volume region within a busy hotel
- You’ll have great all-round proactive sales knowledge and a knack of converting enquiries into confirmed business
