Core Java Engineer Get into Trading / Finance

£80k Plus Bonus

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Core Java Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client has recently been voted in the fintech 100 (best financial technology businesses). They provide a market leading Execution Management System for buy and sell side clients as well as Algo Execution. They have offices globally (travel arranged for your benefit if wanted). This is an ideal route into trading and finance.

The Trading team is responsible for the development and implementation of solutions for connecting the trading platform to partner systems operated by both buy side and sell side clients, exchanges and other liquidity providers. REST is the preferred technology for buy sides to integrate into the platform. FIX connections handle order flows, staging, algos, pairs, allocations, RFQs and real-time market data. The bulk of the external connectivity uses FIX sessions; FAST/FIX, SBE, Swift and other propriety protocols make up the rest. Most software is developed in Java.

The client trades across Equities, Fixed Income, and FX

On a day to Day basis the Java Engineer will:

• Support the build and maintenance of our system
• Writing and implementing high quality code
• Updating software programs
• Identify root cause analysis of software issues
• Deploying software tools
• Collaborating with other developers

Java Engineers MUST have:

• Core Java
• Ideally Web development with JavaScript (ReactJS or AngularJS) if not this can be picked up.
• SQL
• Interest in Maven, Git, Teamcity
• An interest in building Multithreaded applications
• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computing Science or STEM background or equivalent job experience
• 3 plus Years of experience
