Senior Financial Accountant

A London market insurance carrier is recruiting for a newly created position of Senior Financial Accountant following a period of continued growth.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will be responsible for managing complex financial reporting, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This will include certain aspects of financial accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and reporting. You will also participate in projects by supporting the UK Financial Controller to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting requirements.

Applicants must be qualified accountants with progressive accounting experience gained within an insurance business, have strong knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102, an understanding of UK corporate tax and VAT regulations, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
