Senior Practitioner (Accommodation Move On)
Are you ready to lead a team that transforms lives and delivers exceptional, person-centred social work every day?
If yes, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to best utilise existing accommodation based support in Southwark and develop high quality services for people with learning disabilities in Southwark.
About the role:
In this key role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, strength-based and person-centred services. You will work alongside the wider Social Work team as well as commissioning and placements colleagues to analyse future demand for services and ensure that services continue to offer the support our residents require.
You will champion excellent practice by working collaboratively with individuals, families, support networks, and partner agencies to support residents towards further independence and managing transitions between services.
Your leadership will support the growth of confident practitioners, enabling them to deliver responsive, timely, and statutory-compliant services. In return, we offer a comprehensive training program tailored to your professional development, reflective supervision, mentorship, manageable caseloads, and dedicated administrative support.
About you:
You will bring extensive experience in managing or supporting inter-professional teams, setting priorities, project management, and managing performance. You will demonstrate expert knowledge of key legislation, social work theories, and guidance, with a proven ability to translate this knowledge into practice.
You will have a commitment to sharing expertise and fostering professional development through supervision, mentoring, teaching, and leadership.
Experience working with adults with learning disabilities is essential. You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to analyse complex information, and a proven track record of working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
You will play a central role in developing and establishing new supported living services, helping individuals achieve their goals and maximize their independence.
