Duty Manager | Clapham | Premium Late Night Bar

We are looking for a confident Duty Manager to join a premium, high-energy late-night bar in Clapham.

This role would suit a strong Floor Manager, Assistant Manager or Bar Manager who is ready to step into a broader operational role and be developed into an Assistant General Manager. The structure and support are in place, and the position offers a genuine pathway into senior management.

The venue operates in a fast-paced late-night environment with a loyal crowd who come for the atmosphere as much as the drinks. It is design led, music driven and busy throughout the week. This role is about being present on the floor, driving the energy of the room and setting the standard of service from the moment guests walk in.

The role

You will work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to run shifts, lead the floor and support the development of the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading busy service shifts in a high-energy late-night venue

• Being visible on the floor and setting the pace of service

• Supporting and developing the bar and floor team

• Maintaining strong standards while protecting the atmosphere of the venue

• Building relationships with regular guests and understanding the clientele

• Supporting the commercial performance of the site

• Developing leadership skills with a clear pathway into an Assistant General Manager role

This is not a back-office role. It is about presence, personality and leadership in the room.

Profile

• Current or recent Floor Manager, Assistant Manager or Bar Manager

• Confident leading shifts in busy late-night venues

• Strong personality with natural presence on the floor

• Strong understanding of London bar culture and guest expectations

• Guest-focused and commercially aware

• Ambitious and motivated to develop into an Assistant General Manager
