A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced live in housekeeper couple to join a welcoming household in Chichester. The family are looking for a hardworking, reliable and proactive couple who can work together to ensure the property and grounds are maintained to an exceptional standard. This is a long-term position with excellent accommodation provided in a separate three-bedroom cottage.

One member of the couple must be a confident driver. The role combines high-quality housekeeping with practical property maintenance, including gardening and vehicle care. Previous experience working together in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential. A separate three-bedroom cottage is provided, offering comfortable private accommodation for the successful couple.

Duties include:

maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the home
cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
making beds and changing bed linen
organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials when required
receiving deliveries and liaising with contractors when necessary
ensuring the home remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times
driving for household errands when required
maintaining the gardens and outdoor areas
cleaning and caring for the family’s vehicles
basic outdoor maintenance and upkeep of the property
monitoring the condition of the grounds and reporting maintenance issues
assisting with general property management tasks
running household errands and collecting supplies when required
helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the estate

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check
UK work permit
Valid Driver’s License
