About the Role

The successful SEN Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that are carefully adapted to meet the individual needs of students. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment while working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and other professionals to support student development.

The role would suit a teacher who is patient, adaptable and confident in developing positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience working with students with SEN

• Strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching

• Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A nurturing, patient and consistent approach

• Commitment to supporting academic, social and emotional development

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of additional needs

• Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback

• Work closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff

• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
