We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith that is seeking a committed Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis , starting January 2026 . Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Take part in staff meetings, professional development, and whole-school activities.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Year 5 or Key Stage 2 in a primary school setting.
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Commitment to professional development and collaborative working.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching within a team.
