Longevity IFM Actuary (Hybrid/ 80-100% working degree)
Are you a nearly or newly qualified actuary who enjoys variety, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration?
Join us as a Longevity Inforce Management Actuary and contribute to the effective management of Swiss Re’s global longevity reinsurance portfolio, a complex and growing line of business that plays a strategically important role in the company’s success.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your actuarial judgment across a wide range of tasks — from validating complex outputs and reviewing client data, to improving operational processes and working directly with clients to resolve issues. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys applying their technical expertise in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a core member of the Longevity Inforce Management (LIFM) team, you’ll report to the Actuarial Lead of the LIFM team and play a key role in managing Swiss Re’s portfolio of existing longevity reinsurance treaties — working at the intersection of technical delivery, commercial performance, and operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing and reviewing technical tasks, including experience analysis, validating client data, claims, premium, and settlement calculations
- Providing oversight and support to more junior team members, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to process
- Helping assess operational implications of new treaties before signing, and supporting business onboarding activities across functions
- Contributing to process improvements, including documentation and IT platform enhancements, to boost efficiency and support future growth
- Supporting interactions with clients, particularly around resolving queries, managing disputes, and fulfilling contractual obligations

About You
You're a motivated actuary who has strong technical skills, enjoys working with data, navigating complexity, and helping others succeed. You ask the right questions, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You’re always looking for ways to improve how things are done — you have a strong interest in data analysis and turning technical insight into practical outcomes.
