Description:
Pulse have recently partnered with one of the leading healthcare providers. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at a specialist school for children aged 4-18 with autism. Your role will be to support these children in learning, thriving, achieving, and belonging. As part of our transdisciplinary team, you will use your expertise in occupational therapy to improve outcomes for our students.
Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:
You will work with students, teachers, parents, and others to address and resolve issues related to learning, behavior, communication, and social-emotional development. You will provide high-quality occupational therapy advice and support across universal, targeted, and specialist tiers. You will assist class teams in creating supportive environments and reducing occupational barriers to the curriculum. You will develop and implement individual and group intervention programs. You will write and ensure the fidelity of occupational therapy programs for others to deliver.
What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:
- HCPC registered.
- Relevant degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy with pupils and their families.
- Ability to manage own time and caseload, prioritising tasks with support.
- Excellent reflection skills
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge.
- Experience working with children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and other special educational needs.
