Our mission

Connecting people in the worlds best spaces

About VenueScanner

We are becoming #1 destination for discovering and booking space globally. So far we’ve achieved curating the largest selection of venues across the UK (25k churches, pubs, museums, restaurants, galleries, hotels, schools and more).

We make it easy to find and book amazing spaces for every type of event.

We give independent venues a platform to market themselves.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a customer obsessed Account Manager who has experience working for corporate clients within the events/hospitality industry.

You will be working with existing and new corporate customers, taking on client briefs, researching and contacting the best venues to find out their availability and pricing and negotiating the best rates for our clients. You will be doing this both in the UK and internationally.

You will be supporting the VenueScanner corporate customers on a wide range of events from Conferences and Team Away Days, to Summer and Christmas Parties. You will not only help to source the perfect venue but you will also advise on additional suppliers that will help bring their events to life.

Core Responsibilities

  • As part of the Corporate Accounts team you will be liaising daily with our corporate clients to understand their event requirements

  • You will proactively generate opportunity from repeat customers through retention and account growth

  • You will also proactively generate new business opportunities to build up your book of business, leveraging your network and developing and implementing lead generation activities and targeted outreach

  • You will manage a pipeline of events from qualifying the brief to sourcing options, building proposals, organising site visits and helping with contract negotiations through to booking

  • You will source venues for customer events by sending and managing venue recommendations via the VenueScanner platform and sourcing off platform where needed

  • You will assist your customers with additional event requirements through our supplier partnerships in F&B, entertainment, team activities and more

  • You will be responsible for managing business relationships in order to drive repeat business and assist in their whole calendar of events

  • You will be looking for ways to optimise processes to improve performance and feedback to the wider team on product enhancements and improvements requested by corporate customers

Who you are

  • A passion for events either with venue finding / venue sourcing experience or having worked in the events industry planning corporate events for 4+ years (events based degree a plus)

  • Love recommending venues and have a good knowledge of venues across London and the UK

  • Self motivated, proactive and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in

  • Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner

  • Passionate about building relationships and working in a team

  • Fast and efficient, you love being organised and delivering at pace

  • Excellent presentation building skills and able to pull together proposals with a strong attention to detail

  • You enjoy having consultative conversations to identify opportunities for growth within your customer base

About the team

Stand Together | Lead by Example | Make it Happen Today | Winning Mindset | Customer First | Embrace the Journey

We chose the above values as a team to define the type of business we want to work in and how we like to work with each other. They are rooted in everything we do and guide us in our day-to-day activity.

Stand together: We support each other in everything we do and work together to solve our problems. We go beyond our remit to succeed as a team and help our colleagues. We are open, respectful and candid with each other.

Lead by example: We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty! We aim to continuously educate, train and improve ourselves; we inspire each other and are inspiring the industry. We are always accountable and take responsibility for the success of the business. First and foremost, the customer always comes first.

Make it happen today: We turn up, engage and achieve as a team. We deliver at pace and take calculated risks. We push for today rather than put off to tomorrow and analyse, iterate and improve for our customers.

Bring a winning mindset: We’re resourceful and never give up. We’re bold and daring and aren’t comfortable being comfortable. We approach our work and our problems positively - our problems help us learn!

Customer first: We're real people who care about their customers. We are passionate about creating a positive and seamless experience by offering products our customers love while delivering exceptional service. We will always make time for our customers whether that be over the phone or face-to-face.

Embrace the journey: We are excited not just by where we are going, but by the stage we’re at. We celebrate each small win along the way. We see failures as necessary learnings that drive improvement. Each day we work hard and enjoy ourselves.
