SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Havering Start Date: Immediate Contract: Long Term Hours: 08:30–15:15 Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience We are currently looking for a caring and experienced SEN TA to join a welcoming primary school in Havering. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEN TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly pupils with ASD. The successful SEN TA will work across the school, supporting a number of pupils with SEN and helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships with both staff and their peers. As a SEN TA, you will provide a combination of 1:1 and small-group support, adapting your approach to suit the individual needs of each pupil. The school is looking for a SEN TA who understands that every child is different and can provide a patient, consistent and nurturing approach. As a SEN TA, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD. Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required. Working alongside the class teacher and wider support team. Helping pupils to engage with their learning and develop independence. Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional needs. Providing a calm and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulation. Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils. Helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. About You The school is looking for a SEN TA who: Has previous experience working with children with SEN. Has experience supporting pupils with ASD or autism. Is patient, caring and confident in their approach. Can adapt their support to meet individual needs. Is passionate about helping children reach their potential. Works well as part of a team. Is reliable and available for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN TA looking for a long-term role within a supportive primary school in Havering.
