Finance Assistant - Redbridge Secondary School

We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join a highly successful and well-organised secondary school in Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming and professional finance team within an outstanding school that takes great pride in its staff and students.

The Role - Finance Assistant:

• Support the day-to-day running of the school's finance office, including processing invoices and payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash, purchase orders, and supplier queries efficiently.
• Support budget monitoring and liaise with departments regarding expenditure.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and audit documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager and SLT.

The ideal Finance Assistant will have:

• Previous finance or accounts experience, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and finance systems (Bromcom experience desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• A professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
