We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director – Building Safety Act Lead to establish, lead, and grow our Building Safety discipline. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our service offering, drive technical excellence, and support the continued growth of our business.
There has never been a better time to join Pick Everard. Following our alignment with Artelia, we combine the heritage, culture and client relationships built over 150 years with the strength, investment and opportunities of a global consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director or an ambitious Associate ready for the next step. You'll lead and grow our London BSA team, taking ownership of commercial performance, business development and team growth across the region.

Working closely with our Architecture, Engineering, Fire Safety and CDM teams, you'll help deliver integrated services across a diverse project portfolio. This high-profile role offers exposure to flagship projects and industry events, with a clear pathway to growing your own team and taking ownership of a dedicated business function.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading our Building Safety Act offering, acting as the practice-wide authority on Principal Designer (Building Regulations) appointments, higher-risk buildings, Gateway submissions, the Golden Thread and dutyholder competence.
- Driving commercial performance, overseeing revenue, utilisation, pipeline and order book management to support sustainable growth.
- Establishing and maintaining standards, policies and best-practice guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the practice.
- Shaping our approach to competence and training, ensuring compliance with the dutyholder requirements of the Building Safety Act.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and advising senior leadership on emerging risks, opportunities and business impacts.
- Leading resource planning and delivery performance across the discipline, ensuring projects are effectively resourced and successfully delivered.
- Developing client relationships, leading bids and proposals, and securing new opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Building, mentoring and growing a high-performing team, with responsibility for talent development and succession planning.
- Collaborating closely with our Architecture, Engineering, Fire Safety and CDM teams to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
- Representing Pick Everard at industry events, enhancing our profile and contributing to thought leadership activities.
- Developing and implementing the discipline strategy, providing clear reporting and supporting the achievement of wider business objectives.
