Graduate English Teaching Assistant: Your Role
As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support English teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, helping students develop a love for reading and writing
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to boost progress in English Literature and Language
- Assist with lesson preparation, marking, and classroom organisation
- Help students improve their essay writing, grammar, and analytical skills
- Track student progress and offer tailored support to ensure academic success
Graduate English Teaching Assistant: Candidate Specification
KPi Education are seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate English Teaching Assistant with the following:
- A 2:1 or higher degree in English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, or a related subject (Russell Group or Top-30 University desirable) (Essential)
- Excellent A-Level and GCSE results in English (Essential)
- A genuine passion for education and English (Essential)
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners (Essential)
- A proactive, resilient attitude and a willingness to learn (Essential)
- Experience working with students, tutoring, mentoring, peer support or TA (Desirable)
