Laboratory Technician
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and technically focused Laboratory Technician to join and support our operations within the Dimensional Metrology group based at NPL in Teddington
This is an entry -level position ideal for someone starting their career in a technical environment. The role involves handling precision instruments under supervision, following established procedures to carry out basic dimensional checks, and recording results accurately. You’ll be involve d in maintaining calibration records, helping with equipment setup, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and traceability of measurement results.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain calibration records
- Help with equipment setup
- Set up experiments, preparing samples, and conducting tests under standard operating procedures according to direction.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Work well in a team of scientists follow instructions carefully
- Willing to learn within a well-structured laboratory setting
