Your Role

This is a great role for anyone that works in events that wants to get a new string to their bow. You will be supporting the Head of Stages across all four of our Pride in London Stages. There will be two Deputy Head of Stages.
One of the Deputy Head of Stages roles will be more pastorally focused supporting our team of around thirty volunteers who will be collating and collecting all artist information prior to Pride in London. You will be supporting our teams in answering difficult questions to do with artist management and relations, but also supporting our volunteers when they are not able to meet deadlines for whatever reason that may be. This role will also look after inter-team relations creating monthly optional socials for the team to meet up.
The second Deputy Head of Stages will have a more technical focus supporting in interpreting the technical requirements of the acts across all stages, making sure we have the correct equipment for the requirements on the day, and supporting the Head of Stages with specialised requests such as filming requests, riders etc.
On the day both Deputy Head of Stages will be the main support for two stages each, liaising with the Head of Stages should a problem arise. We are there to facilitate the five person teams on each stage that have worked since early March to collate all the information pertaining to their stages.
Both roles may require interaction with performers, suppliers, community group and other affiliates of Pride in London so good communication skills are key.
You should have a good understanding of events and production for both roles.
The Stages Team is responsible for delivering an authoritative, inclusive diverse production across currently 4 sites on the day of Pride in London, Leicester Square, Dean Street, Golden Square, Trafalgar Square including when required additional talent support to Family Area.
Your Responsibilities
Mentoring, guiding and training junior members of the team.
Overseeing each of the stages teams who will be collecting, monitoring and recording of all stage content from artist. This includes tracks, lyrics, production requirements and any other relevant information. This is mainly email based and keeping track of how the team are dealing with emails that they are receiving and if they are keeping on top of their workload for the two stages that you are responsible for.
Have a full understanding of the status of the two stages you are assigned at all times and be able to report back to the Head of Stages/ Pride in London senior stakeholders.
Role model for Pride in London’s values and behaviours
Support by providing necessary tools/knowledge/experience to enable delivery of plans in a timely manner
You must be free to work on the day of Pride in London
Ensure that production is in the interests of the LGBT+ community and meet with diversity and inclusion
Maintain high levels awareness surrounding current threats and challenges toward the LGBT+ Community - advises directors of risks and potential mitigation
What you'll bring to Pride in London
Events & production experience with understanding of stage management and technical requirements
Team leadership skills - ability to oversee, mentor and coordinate junior team members
Strong communication & organisation - excellent email management and stakeholder liaison skills
Available on Pride in London event day (mandatory requirement)
Commitment to LGBT+ inclusion - understanding of community values and diversity priorities
Flexible problem-solver - can multitask across multiple stages and work under pressure
