We are currently seeking an experienced Third-Party Risk Governance Lead.

You will provide leadership and direction for Technology third party risk and control governance and set the standard for delivery across the Group Chief Information Office Third-Party Risk Management team and the managed service provider. This role is accountable for the quality, completeness and auditability of enterprise risk reporting in Helios, ensuring disciplined, end-to-end lifecycle management of risks, controls, issues, actions and governance reporting, and driving timely outcomes through clear ownership, pace and challenge.

In this role you will:

  • Lead, co-ordinate and performance-manage delivery across internal teams and external third-party teams (including the managed service provider), setting clear priorities, ways of working, and quality expectations
  • Chair Vendor Management Meetings
  • Ensure the effective end-to-end visibility of Group Chief Information Office Third-Party Risk Management activity reflecting golden source systems or record (actions, risks, controls, issues, dependencies)
  • Oversee the production and drive continuous improvement of management information for governance fora (risk/control health, issue ageing, overdue actions, thematic insights, control effectiveness indicators, exceptions to standards, and alignment to enterprise risk reporting including Helios)
  • Act as the Group Chief Information Office Vendor Management Third Party Risk Management Helios product/process owner, accountable for correct and consistent use of Helios to accurately reflect third party risk and control position
  • Oversee Group Chief Information Office Vendor Management resources producing operational monitoring and strategic supplier Management Information

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong experience in third party risk management and fundamentals of relevant risk domains and proven experience leading/managing a team essential
  • Broad understanding of how risk and control environments are structured and operate in regulated organisations
  • Exposure to managing audit/compliance processes for third party risk and control environments
  • Strong programme/project management capability; able to co-ordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills; able to operate under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong delivery and quality focus; able to negotiate and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
