Wayman Education is seeking a School Administrator for an Independent Primary School in Enfield. The school requires an organised and approachable administrator who can help ensure the school office operates efficiently and provides a professional point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of the school by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records and supporting staff with day-to-day office responsibilities.
The Role
The School Administrator will provide essential administrative support to the wider school team, helping maintain efficient office systems and ensuring enquiries are handled professionally.
Responsibilities will include answering telephone calls, responding to emails, welcoming visitors and directing enquiries to the appropriate members of staff. The successful candidate will maintain pupil records, update school databases, assist with admissions administration and support attendance-related processes where required.
The role will also involve preparing letters, forms and reports, managing correspondence and filing, organising meetings and appointments, recording messages and assisting with school events. The administrator will help monitor stationery and office supplies, maintain an organised reception area and provide general administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff.
Confidentiality will be particularly important when handling pupil, parent and staff information, and the successful candidate will be expected to follow the school's data protection procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative or office-based role, with strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.
The school is looking for someone with a professional, friendly and approachable manner who can work effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude, flexibility and an understanding of confidentiality and data protection are also important. Previous experience in a school environment would be beneficial.
