Housekeeper
The family are looking for a professional, friendly, and proactive Housekeeper who will become a valued part of their household. They pride themselves on treating staff like family and are seeking someone who can build a strong working relationship based on mutual respect, honesty, and trust. This is a relaxed and informal household where uniforms are not required. The family are young, approachable, and appreciate a Housekeeper who is happy to interact with the family whilst also having the confidence to work independently and understand household routines. The family also employ a Handyman and Property Manager, so you will be joining a well-supported household team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the family home to a high standard, ensuring it remains clean, organised, and running smoothly. This is a hands on housekeeping role with a variety of duties including laundry, ironing, household organisation, and liaising with tradespeople. The family have a child (newborn due in October), so previous childcare experience would be advantageous, although no childcare duties are required. The household also includes two small French Bulldogs, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys being around dogs. The home is located close to a bus stop or a 12 min walk from Wimbledon Station. Job specification:
• Daily cleaning and tidying throughout the home
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing bed linen and making beds
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the property
• Organising household areas and storage spaces
• Liaising with and overseeing tradespeople when required
• Walking the family’s two small French Bulldogs
• Household errands and general support as needed
• Preparing healthy snacks on occasion (not essential)
• Working alongside the wider household team to ensure the home runs smoothly Candidate specification:
• Previous experience within a similar long-term housekeeping role
• Career Housekeeper seeking a permanent position
• Friendly, nurturing, and personable nature
• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards
• Comfortable working in a family home with a child
• Pet friendly and genuinely enjoys being around dogs
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Good level of spoken English
• Driver preferred (automatic vehicle available if required)
