Tax Manager - FTSE listed - Berkshire

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager to join a high-performing in-house tax team, reporting directly to the Head of Tax. This is a broad and commercially focused position, offering responsibility across corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, VAT oversight, tax governance, and strategic tax projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the group's tax strategy while partnering closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business. The role also provides exposure to international tax developments, including Transfer Pricing, Country-by-Country Reporting, and Pillar Two compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead UK corporate tax compliance and reporting activities.
* Manage corporation tax payments, forecasting, and budgeting support.
* Review VAT returns and provide tax advice to internal stakeholders.
* Oversee R&D Tax Credits, Patent Box claims, and tax governance requirements.
* Support tax projects, including restructures, Transfer Pricing, Country-by-Country Reporting, and Pillar Two implementation.
* Build strong relationships with HMRC, external advisers, and key business stakeholders while driving process improvements and managing tax risk.

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who are:

* CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT qualified.
* Strong UK corporate tax compliance and reporting experience.
* Previous experience within a large corporate or international business environment.
* Commercially minded with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
* Experience of VAT, R&D Tax Credits, Patent Box, or international tax matters would be advantageous.
