Night Shift Escalator Engineer

The role of an Escalator Engineer (Nights) is now available in Greater London. You'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing escalators and moving walkways across major transport hubs, ensuring safety and reliability. Enjoy exposure to high-profile London projects without extensive regional travel and a structured shift pattern with no call-out rota.

Key Details

• Pay: Up to £85,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level, and Paid Door to Door
• Hours: 19:00 – 7:00, 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts with 45-minute unpaid break)
• Location: Greater London (including Gatwick & Stansted rail stations)
• Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

The Work

• Maintain and service escalators and moving walkways from various manufacturers
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety, and customer care
• Perform risk assessments and maintain site log cards during every visit
• Work across a range of equipment including KONE, Schindler, Anlev, and Otis systems

What You Need

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering
• Experience: Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways
• Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential

Desirable

• Experience working in a rail or transport environment
• Knowledge of specific escalator brands (e.g., KONE, Schindler)
