Micro Space Lead (12 Month FTC)
Job Title: Micro Space Lead Location: London Head Office, Aldgate (Hybrid – 3 days a week)
Ready to lead the future of space planning in a fast-paced retail environment?We have an exciting opportunity for a Micro Space Lead to join our vibrant and growing Travel team at our London Head Office in Aldgate.
In this pivotal role, you'll support the Merchandising Planning Manager by leading a team of Micro Space Planners to create efficient and visually compelling planograms and display guidelines. Your work will help shape how our product ranges are experienced in over 500 stores, using data-driven insights, strong stakeholder collaboration, and innovative space solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and develop a team of Micro Space Planners responsible for maintaining effective ranges across our Travel estate.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Heads of Operations, Merchandising, and Buying teams, to drive space efficiency and commercial success.
- Identify and implement ways of working to improve team productivity and reduce manual tasks.
- Produce reports and monitor KPIs to inform wider business decisions on space optimisation.
- Provide Micro Space insights to support Macro planning and estate-wide strategies.
- Innovate in fixture development to improve display effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Use data to challenge and refine product ranges, ensuring optimum performance in-store.
- Represent Micro Space in cross-functional meetings and business forums.
- Partner with Insight and Trading teams to deliver tailored customer propositions through segmentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Visual Merchandising or Space Planning role within a large retail business.
- Strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) with a passion for data analysis and problem-solving.
- High level of numeracy and the ability to extract and communicate actionable insights from complex reports.
- Confident communicator with excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, proactive, and solutions focused.
- Previous line management experience is essential.
