Senior Activewear Designer
We're on the hunt for a talented Women's Activewear Designer to join a thriving, fashion-forward business.
This is to work for a hugely successful international fashion business who are looking for someone fashion forward and trend lead. Based in the UK, this role can be worked remotely to help support the growth of their UK partnerships.
Please note this role is open to full time, part time or freelance candidates.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Create high street-ready activewear that fuses fashion, function, and affordability.
- Visiting existing customers for design and development meetings as well as trend presentations.
- Complete buying, sourcing and inspirational trips to source the latest trends, inspirational ideas, materials and oversee sample development.
- Partner closely with Buyers to shape collections from concept to production.
- Create detailed technical packs, spec and CAD's for review.
- Constantly look for the latest trends across all platforms.
Person Specifications:
- Solid experience designing commercial women's activewear for UK retailers.
- Strong grasp of performance fabrics, garment construction, and fit.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
- A sharp eye for trend with the ability to translate trends into mass-market appeal.
- Organised, self motivated and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
