Year 1 Teacher

A vibrant, inclusive, and well-established primary school in Islington is seeking a passionate and committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis .

This school prides itself on its nurturing ethos, high expectations, and strong focus on developing confident, independent learners from an early age. You will be joining a supportive KS1 team who work collaboratively to deliver engaging and creative lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.

The Role:

• Full class responsibility for a Year 1 class
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils through the transition from EYFS to KS1
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS
• Has experience within KS1 (or strong EYFS experience transitioning into KS1)
• Is creative, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards
• Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
