Hours: Saturday Mornings
Salary: £12–£15 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About Future Hoops

Future Hoops is QPR Community Trust's introductory football programme for children aged 3–5 years , designed to provide a fun, engaging and positive first experience of football.

Through imaginative games, movement activities and age-appropriate coaching, the programme develops children's fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance, confidence and social interaction, while introducing basic football techniques in a safe and inclusive environment.

Our aim is to inspire a lifelong love of football by creating enjoyable sessions where every child can learn, develop and have fun.

About the Role

QPR Community Trust is looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and passionate football coaches to join our Future Hoops coaching team.

Successful applicants will deliver engaging, age-appropriate football sessions that encourage participation, develop confidence and support the physical and social development of young children.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a child's first experience of football within a professional club environment.

Current Coaching Opportunity

We are currently recruiting coaches to deliver our Future Hoops sessions in West London .

Availability required:

  • Saturday mornings

Additional opportunities across other QPR Community Trust programmes may become available throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate football sessions for children aged 3–5 years.

  • Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.

  • Develop children's fundamental movement skills, coordination, balance and basic football techniques through creative activities and games.

  • Encourage confidence, teamwork, communication and enjoyment throughout every session.

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and complete any required administration.

  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and QPR Community Trust policies are followed at all times.

  • Represent QPR Community Trust professionally and positively.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and patient when working with young children.

  • Ability to deliver creative, engaging and imaginative coaching sessions.

  • Experience working with children within Early Years, Foundation Phase, grassroots football or community sport programmes.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with both children and parents.

  • Strong organisation and time management skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • UEFA C Licence (or working towards)

  • FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (or equivalent)

  • FA Safeguarding Children qualification

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

  • Experience coaching children aged 3–5 years.

  • Early Years or Foundation Stage coaching experience.

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport.
