About the Role – Graduate Classroom Assistant

You will work closely with class teachers across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2 depending on your interests and strengths. The role includes supporting small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs such as SEN, EAL, or speech and language difficulties.

Responsibilities include: - Graduate Classroom Assistant

• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Leading group sessions in literacy, phonics, or numeracy
• Supporting children with special educational needs or learning difficulties
• Promoting engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Helping adapt resources and prepare materials
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff

Who We’re Looking For - Graduate Classroom Assistant

This opportunity is ideal for a graduate who:

• Holds a 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology, English, Education, or related fields are desirable)
• Has previous experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work)
• Is calm, confident, and committed to supporting children’s learning
• Is considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy
• Can commit to a full academic year in a full-time role
