Software Application Owner
This is a key role within the business; you will work with Product Owners, Designers, Data Scientists, Engineers and other business stakeholders to understand the vision for our software and bring it to life in the most valuable way. You will create user stories, groom, populate and own the backlog, take account of user insights and market demands, report on performance and assist in the development of new product propositions. Your focus will be working within an Agile squad to develop software for Digital Catapult’s products and services. You will apply your software ownership skills and experience to a range of Digital Catapult projects which include future networks (IoT and 5G), Immersive, DLT and Artificial Intelligence. This is an opportunity to work within a fast moving and ambitious organisation working at the forefront of some of the latest digital technologies.
This Role is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
- Define and manage scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation of our Software offerings
- Facilitate input from stakeholders, provide constructive challenge and enable effective prioritisation of requirements.
- Establish requirements baselines and obtain formal agreement to requirements
- Engage with delivery teams to confirm that products developed meet the service acceptance criteria and are to the required standard
- Enhance practices and processes to collect and report on management information relating to the performance of our products
- Be a true evangelist for application of user insights in the whole product lifecycle

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Experience)
- Hands-on experience working as an Application Owner in an Agile development environment
- Friendly and approachable people who have experience managing a variety of stakeholders
- Previous experience creating and working on products built on deep tech
- Passion for cutting edge digital technology
