An exciting short-term opportunity to join a world-leading insurance company based in EC3V as a Receptionist. You will deliver an exceptional level of customer service, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and stakeholders within a modern London office. The role involves handling enquiries and providing first-line support to ensure a professional, welcoming, and efficient office environment. RECEPTIONIST ROLE:
- Providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, ensuring comfort through services such as a cloakroom, refreshments, and Wi Fi
- Handling enquiries efficiently across phone, email, and in person, notifying hosts promptly and escorting visitors when required
- Managing on the day meeting room bookings, setups, hospitality support, and escalating issues appropriately
- Maintaining a secure and well presented workplace through regular floor walks, opening and closing routines, and reporting maintenance or AV issues
- Supporting company events and initiatives, preparing promotional materials, hospitality setups, and assisting with logistics
- Delivering first day inductions for new starters and maintaining visitor management and office supply systems
- Managing administrative tasks, including preparing materials for meetings, coordinating taxis and couriers, and handling post and deliveries
- Acting as Fire Marshal and basic first aider when trained, supporting crisis communications, sustainability initiatives, and contractor liaison
- Bringing 3+ years of experience in a customer facing role
- Having a working knowledge of office administration tasks, including managing emails, phone calls, booking meeting rooms, handling schedules, and coordinating logistics
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail with the ability to manage schedules, logistics, and resources efficiently to ensure smooth office operations and meeting room setups
- Having experience with audio visual services is an advantage
