UKSPF Project Officer Economic Growth and Sustainability

The Post We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support delivery of the Council's Economic Growth and Community Wealth Building initiatives for the economic development of the borough, with a focus on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme (UK SPF) and communication and engagement with local businesses. As Project Officer, you will work within the Regeneration Service, with departments across the council, and report to the Greater London Authority, to support the delivery of UK SPF funded projects which will support local businesses, communities and place, and people and skills, and must be completed by 31st March 2026. Engagement an relations with local businesses will be fundamental to your work, to develop and sustain effective working relations and encourage them to participate in Council and third-party business support programmes and seminars, Community Wealth Building training and activities, and networking events. The Person The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of economic development, business or social policy, the opportunities and challenges for business growth in an outer London context, and the role Brent Council has to play in supporting local businesses and Community Wealth Building. You will be focused, organised and positive, to ensure project delivery remains on track. You will maintain communications and develop excellent working relationships with fellow team members, cross departmentally, local businesses and external stakeholders. You will have strong organisational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with good attention to detail.
