We are recruiting an Investigation & Information Assistant to join the Complaints and Resolution team. This is a key role supporting elected Members and residents by ensuring enquiries and complaints are handled accurately, professionally and on time. The Role As an Investigation & Information Assistant, you will:
- Provide accurate, timely and high-quality responses to Members’ enquiries , supporting elected councillors in their work with residents
- Investigate and coordinate responses to resident complaints , particularly relating to housing and ongoing repairs
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners to gather information and resolve issues
- Support the wider Complaints and Resolution team to ensure cases are progressed efficiently
- Maintain clear, accurate records and ensure responses meet agreed standards and deadlines
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating clearly in writing and verbally
- Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment
- Experienced in handling enquiries, complaints or investigations (local authority or housing experience desirable)
- Proactive, customer-focused and committed to delivering high standards of service
- Must have experience working for a council or housing association
